Hookey Pookey dance with my Daddy

A couple of nights back, I was entertained by two amateur dancers, one of them a 3 1/2 year old and the other a grown up man, right in my very own bedroom! They sang and dance to this song called the Hookey Pookey. (I know this song as the Woogie Boogie song from my secondary school days as a Girl Guide/Ranger) Victoria learnt this song in school, and danced for us a few times, by doing the actions as well which include (the best part...) shaking her cute little buttocks!

So back to the couple of nights back. I was settling William for bed, and Hubby was "handling" Victoria, and then they decided to dance the Hookey Pookey song. They stood side by side, with the same actions, and both singing. It was funny, and so very entertaining. I wish I could have recorded it, but aiya, by the time I grab the camera they would have finished, and Victoria would not dance coz she won't allow me to video her.

The song goes like this,

You do the Hookey Pookey,
And you turn round and round,
That's what it's all about.

Then she'd improvise it by singing,

You put your nose in...

You put your finger in...

You put your ear in...

And last night I got an additional song too! Daddy and Victoria were singing the "Hai Ho... Hai Hoo..." snow white song and marching all around the bedroom, holding a water bottle each on their shoulder (as if they are the drawfs going off to work).

So funny. I think when William is older and able to join us, both the kids will be great night entertainers to us. By then... (sigh) I think it will be harder to put the kids to sleep. ; )
