Two days ago we brought Vic to see Dr Wong in Tangkak for her follow-up check up. Her allergy drops have finished, and we needed to know what's her allergy points too, since being zerorised in the previous visit.
Her points remain ZERO for all of the following:
Eggs
Candida
House Dustmite
Yeast
Mint
and in the same visit, we brought William for a check up too since he have been nursing this nagging cough for more than one month, which our local paed said was symptoms of childhood asthma. William has taken more 3 bottles of Ventolin syrup, 3-4 bottles of antihistamines and is still on ventolin and zyrtec now, and seretide inhaler and Flixonase nasal spray.
Dr Wong tested William for house dustmite, and his points showed a high 15. : (
Last night we had dinner at the Chicken Rice Shop, and immediately after dinner, Vic developed a lot of rashes on her belly, back, arms and part face. We were shocked, as she have eaten at this shop before, and there was no eggs, mushrooms or yeast. So, why the sudden outbreak? It's been a long time since she last had such a drastic outbreak.
Today her rashes have subsided a little, and I continue to give her antihistamine due to the itch. Question is what was the offending food, and how can her body reacted this way when she was supposed to have been zerorised???

my nephew is allergic to all seafood, dairy products, nuts and eggs, it's really hard for my sis too.
Hello Irene, glad to read your kid improving, no uncomfortable allergies. They'll be fine. Kids will on and off give parents some anxiety....but they'll grow out of it.
Regretfully here many have allergy to pollen, come late Spring and Summer, some adults, kids have to be indoors....they sneeze, feel sick when outside.
Getting hay fever is like dying couple of my friends told me. Worst than flu.
Thank goodness my wife, family okay.
Long time ago my doctor friend who grew up with saw me when I had a lousy fever.
After diagnosing, he sure frightened me, "Lee, I'm afraid I have bad news for you. You are allergic to batik, especially worn by women".
But he could never hold or control himself when I exclaimed, "WHAT"?
He burst out laughing.

@mc, the main hurdle is to identify the offending allergen. then the next hurdle is to treat it, we never know if they kids will ever outgrow them, but hope.
@Uncle Lee, hahaha... your doctor friend is funny. Vic was alright during our 3 weeks hol in UK, and we initially worried she may developed reaction to the dustmites in the b&bs and hotel. over here, she scratch every day, even though there's nothing wrong she ate. sigh. oh well... hope can outgrow.
my four fingers on my right hand has been dry and breaking up for one year already, and i think i'm allergic to water! but the dr said it's all sorts of detergent... is this good or bad news?
Oh gosh....just when I was reading good news about Vic. Never can tell with kids whenever and where ever something can crop up.
As for William....sigh....how do you egt rid of house mites allergy?
Vic is free from dustmite n william has dustmite? abit contradicting..
Continue to pray for God's healing.
@ann, as far as i know, there is not getting rid of dustmite allergy, it's just controlling it, and building up their immune system.
@littlelamb, vic's dustmite allergy is down to zero, but as with all other allergies, there must be a 1 year grace period before she is confirmed totally healed. oh well... just doing whatever we can, keeping them in prayer and letting God do the Healing in His timing.
