Simple 3 for a superb boy!

Our initial plan was to have a joint celebration for Vic and Will this year, but that didn't materialise as we couldn't match the guest list with the time/venue, and then we couldn't match the date with with the venue so we finally decided to have both separate, simple and just as it is - special.

But the cakes were discussed and decided much earlier, with Vic changing from her initial choice of Princess theme to Ben 10 (again!) but William was consistent with his obsession with Toy Story until almost 2 weeks to his birthday, and he saw some pretty bird cupcakes from Ivy and said he wanted to change.

But it's Toy Story as it is. Kids ah kids... always wishy washy, fickle minded and if they have their choice, everything they want, haha! William's cake was collected in the afternoon, with me getting lost on the way to Ivy's place to pick up, even with full assistance from my GPS (you see, it's not my fault, the GPS brought me to Holland!) but thank God Ivy was quick to direct me back to civilisation.

The moment I showed the kids the cake at home, they both wowed, aaahed and Vic soon made a comment that William's cake was nicer than hers. I assured her that both has its uniqueness and it was their choices. Typical, huh?

Anyway, we had a simple sing song, cut cake ceremony at night with some cell group friends and their children.

Buzz, Woody and the mini Jessie are real... toys!

Cutting cake, with Yu Rim jie jie who shares the same birth date as William.
After blowing the candles, we quickly "kidnapped" all the characters and decos into a special container, before the kids accidentally dismember 'em. I plan to keep them forever if they don't rot, just as I'm keeping Vic's fondants from her 1st year birthday ; )

Two days before on Wednesday 27th April, we had our little family birthday luncheon for William at his favourite joint - Souled Out. He wanted to wear their big sunglasses for the birthday person which he wore last year, but they didn't have that now. William was quick to accept anything else they had.
